Janet Ly joined Morgan, Brown, & Joy in September 2008 and is an associate with the firm. Her practice concentrates on labor and employment litigation.
Janet graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2004 and earned her Juris Doctorate from Boston College School of Law in 2008. There, she participated in Grimes Moot Court and was awarded by the faculty the Top Ten Best Written Brief Award.
While at Boston College, Janet worked as a student-attorney at the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau. She advised and represented clients with a variety of legal problems in every aspect of litigation, including appearing in court and at federal and state hearings. Prior to joining Morgan, Brown & Joy, Janet practiced law at an international law firm in Asia, where she worked on arbitration matters regarding People's Republic of China and Taiwan. Additionally, upon graduation, she interned at the Massachusetts Highway Department handling litigation matters regarding the Commonwealth's transportation system.
Janet is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She is an active member of the American Bar Association and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
