James M. Pender
Jim Pender is an associate at the firm, concentrating on labor and employment law, litigation and advice. Jim's labor law practice includes collective bargaining and contract negotiation, grievance and labor arbitration, and representation of employers before the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission and National Labor Relations Board. His employment law practice includes general advice, employee handbooks, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and wage & benefit matters, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and employee leave, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and disability issues, employee discipline and discharge, tort litigation, employment discrimination litigation in State and Federal court as well as before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Jim works with a diverse client base, including Massachusetts municipalities and public authorities, Fortune 500 corporations, small privately-held companies, and public and private colleges and universities. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and Suffolk University Law School. Jim is admitted to practice in Massachusetts State and Federal courts and is a member of the Boston and Massachusetts bar associations.
