Diane Saunders to Present at MCLE Seminar on Ethical Quandaries for Employment Lawyers (Boston, MA)

On Friday, June 11, 2010, Diane Saunders will be presenting on Ethical Quandaries for Employment Lawyers, presented by the MCLE.  The seminar will focus on the following topics:

  • Ex Parte Witness Contacts: When are they permissible? What can companies instruct employees about inquiries from outside counsel?
  • Representing Multiple Parties in the Same Matter: What to tell them before agreeing to represent jointly? When not to represent more than one client in a matter? Are communications between multiple parties privileged? Conflicts?
  • Joint Defense Agreements: Enforceable? What terms to include?
  • Investigations: Privileged? Should inside or outside counsel handle?
  • Lying Clients-What To Do?
  • Improperly Obtained Documents and Information: Inadvertent disclosure by the other side? Or, improperly obtained by your client?

The seminar will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the MCLE Conference Center, Boston, MA.  The seminar is also available as a MCLE Web Cast.
