Michael Clarkson to Present at NEHRA on Social Networking – How To (and Not To) Use It in HR Practice (Waltham, MA)
DATE: June 25, 2009
LOCATION: Forefront Conference Center – Waltham
TIME: 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
As employers increasingly turn to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and MySpace to recruit and screen applicants and to monitor current employees, it is important that employers understand both the opportunities and risks of these tools. On June 25, 2009, MBJ Partner Michael Clarkson, along with David Kimmelman and Jennifer Bombard McGovern, will present a workshop to introduce participants to Web 2.0 & social media tools and their applications, including explanations of how blogs, podcasts and social networking sites are being used in today's workplace. The workshop will address how employers can manage legal risks associated with employees' use of online social networking at work and minimize potential liabilities associated with tracking employees' off-duty, online conduct. As a take-away, all workshop participants will be provided with sample blogging and social networking policies.
Registration is required. For more information and to register, please visit the NEHRA website.
