Employee Discharge and Documentation in Massachusetts (Worcester, MA)

On December 2, 2005, three MB&J attorneys (Mark M. Whitney, Daniel S. Field and Corinne L. Hood) will present a seminar entitled: "Employee Discharge and Documentation in Massachusetts."

Massachusetts employers face a rising number of lawsuits filed by employees who are increasingly sophisticated about their legal rights. These lawsuits can cost an employer dearly - not only in high damage awards and mounting attorney's fees, but in lost employee productivity and sagging workforce morale. This seminar focuses on those areas in which Massachusetts employers are most vulnerable.

Seminar highlights:

  • Anatomy of a wrongful discharge lawsuit
  • Documentation at the beginning of the employment relationship
  • Employee handbooks and pertinent agreements
  • Testing for truth, drugs and alcohol
  • Documentation at the termination stage

Learning objectives:

  • The attendee will be able to identify a wrongful discharge.
  • The attendee will be able to review proper employee documentation.
  • The attendee will be able to discuss difficult issues in the discipline and discharge process.

The seminar will be held in Worcester, MA from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information and/or to register on line visit: Lorman Education Services
