Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Gregory Manousos Elected President of the Board of Directors at BalletRox

Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Gregory Manousos was recently named President of the Board of Directors at BalletRox. Manousos has been an active supporter of BalletRox since 2016, and formerly served as Board member and Vice President.  In his new role, Manousos will collaborate with board members to further advance the organization’s mission of making dance accessible to all and empowering Boston’s youth through dance training and other arts-based community programming.

Manousos is a litigator and counselor to colleges, universities, medical institutions, independent schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and retailers. He helps clients navigate discrimination and harassment claims, Family and Medical Leave Act claims, denial of tenure claims, wage and hour disputes, and litigation involving non-competition agreements. He also works with colleges, universities, and independent schools in handling sensitive and complex litigation involving students, including cases involving sexual misconduct, other behavioral issues, and academic matters. A seasoned trial attorney, Manousos has tried more than 15 cases to verdict in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies. Manousis is a member of the firm’s management committee.

BalletRox is a non-profit organization based in Jamaica Plan which provides structured, community- and school-based dance programs for young people in the City of Boston, with pathways to mastery of dance and development of leadership skills. Founded in 1992, the organization is based on the premise that participation in dance not only provides dance training, but also contributes to social development, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and helps develop valuable life skills which lead to increased confidence and success.
