Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Nicholas DiGiovanni and Joseph P. McConnell Speak at the National Center’s 47th Annual Labor-Management Conference

Morgan, Brown & Joy Partners, Nicholas DiGiovanni and Joseph P. McConnell, will speak at the National Center for the Study of Collective Bargaining in Higher Education and the Professions’ (National Center) 47th Annual Labor-Management Conference, March 29-31, 2020, at the New York City Seminar and Conference Center. DiGiovanni will be a workshop presenter for “Administrators on Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations,” and McConnell will serve on the panel, “Bargaining Over Online Learning.”

DiGiovanni handles cases and issues in virtually all aspects of labor and employment law, specializing in collective bargaining and labor matters affecting colleges and universities. DiGiovanni represents many institutions of higher education around New England and the Northeast and is a longstanding member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) where he served as a member of the Board of Directors for several years, and the College and University Personnel Association (CUPA). DiGiovanni has served on numerous committees within those associations and is a frequent speaker at NACUA and CUPA conferences, among other higher education organizations. DiGiovanni has published many articles in recent years, particularly focused on collective bargaining and issues affecting colleges and universities. DiGiovanni has also written about other aspects of employment law, including a book on age discrimination, Age Discrimination: An Administrator’s Guide (College and University Personnel Association Publishers, 1989) and numerous other legal articles. DiGiovanni is a member of the Boston, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations, and a regular contributor to Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education programs.

McConnell is an experienced litigator and negotiator defending management on employment and labor law matters. Businesses, in-house counsel, and human resources professionals look to his sophisticated experience to resolve their employment law needs.
