San Francisco Paid Sick Leave Ordinance becomes effective February 5, 2007

The new San Francisco Paid Sick Leave Ordinance, which was passed by the City’s voters on November 7, 2006, becomes effective February 5, 2007.  Under the new law, all employers who employ individuals in the City and/or County of San Francisco must provide them paid sick leave.  The ordinance applies to all employees – full-time, part-time and temporary workers.
