Morgan, Brown & Joy attorneys Alex G. Desrosiers and Sean P. O’Connor will present at the National Business Institute’s (NBI) Advanced Employment Law Seminar on October 1, 2018 in Peabody, MA. Desrosiers will discuss “Handling Employee Discrimination and Harassment Claims.” O’Connor will discuss “Enforceability of Mandatory Arbitration Clauses.”
Desrosiers counsels employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including the preparation of employee handbooks and policies, personnel issues, wage and hour laws, and compliance with local, state and federal employment law. He also represents employers in labor and employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, and restrictive covenant disputes. Desrosiers’ practice also includes representing employers in collective bargaining, as well as grievance and arbitration proceedings.
O’Connor is a partner with Morgan, Brown & Joy. His practice includes the representation of employers in the full range of employment matters, including hiring, background check compliance, non-competition and other restrictive covenant agreements, performance management, internal and agency investigations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, wage and hour violations, terminations, reductions in force, separation and severance agreements, and tort-based claims arising in the workplace. He also advises on litigation avoidance techniques involving compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws, including reviewing and drafting employment policies and employer handbooks.
