Amy Carlin to Present at Boston Bar Association Program on Employment Counterclaims (Boston, MA)

On April 10, 2017, Amy Carlin will be presenting at a Boston Bar Association program entitled, “Employment Counterclaims: What They are, When to Bring Them and When Not To.”

Program Description: This program is a discussion about the substance and strategy surrounding the use of counterclaims in employment litigation, including discussion of: which counterclaims are “compulsory” and which are not; what strategic considerations apply to the decision to bring them in response to a complaint; and when the assertion of counterclaims can constitute illegal retaliation. After this seminar, attendees will know what counterclaims must be brought in order to avoid waiver; how to evaluate whether assertion of counterclaims may be retaliatory; and how to evaluate whether to bring counterclaims at all. Also presenting will be James Weliky, a partner with the law firm of Messing, Rudavsky & Weliky, P.C.

The program is taking place at the Boston Bar Association, 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. A link to more information can be found here.
