Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Aaron A. Spacone will serve as a panelist at the 14th Annual Northeast Region Fair Housing & Civil Rights Conference, which will be held virtually on October 1, 2020. Spacone’s session, “Joint Investigations and Mediation,“ will focus on two important components of the charge process at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). In part one, panelists will focus on how the EEOC achieves its Strategic Enforcement Plan by working with state and federal partners and panelists will discuss document sharing and joint investigations specific to the Memorandum of Understanding. In part two, panelists will focus on how the EEOC’s mediation program helps employers and employees resolve charges shortly after they are filed and discuss best practices.
Spacone represents employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. As an employment litigator, Aaron defends employers against claims related to workplace discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment, among others. Aaron also provides counsel to employers regarding daily workplace matters, including the preparation of employee handbooks, hiring, wages, discipline, termination, and leave. Aaron has represented clients across many industries, having obtained favorable outcomes for clients in the insurance, education, food processing, and healthcare industries.
