Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Catherine Scott Selected as a 2022 Excellence in the Law Honoree by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Morgan, Brown & Joy is pleased to announce that Catherine Scott has been named a 2022 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Excellence in the Law honoree in the category of  “Up and Coming Lawyer.” This award celebrates up and coming lawyers as well as other legal professionals  for excellence in pro bono, legal journalism, marketing, firm administration and paralegal work. Scott and fellow honorees will be recognized at a dinner reception on March 3, 2022.

Scott is a litigator and employment lawyer defending and advising employers. She helps companies navigate workplace allegations such as employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, Family and Medical Leave Act, breach of contract, and wage and hour class actions among others. She also has experience and a particular interest in appellate work related to all labor and employment fields of practice. In addition to appearing in federal and state courts, Scott appears before government agencies including the EEOC, MCAD, Department of Labor, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other state anti-discrimination agencies.  

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly reports decisions issued by all the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, as well as changes to court rules, verdict and settlement reports, bar-discipline notices, and all other news vital to attorneys in the commonwealth.
