Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Gregory Manousos to Speak at BBA’s 2020 Virtual Higher Education Legal Conference
Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Gregory Manousos will speak at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) 2020 Virtual Higher Education Legal Conference on July 22, 2020. Manousos will serve as a panelist for a session titled, “Race Issues on Campus: Higher Education’s Response to the Current Dialogue on Racial Equity.” He will be presenting with Kijua Sanders-McMurtry, Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at Mount Holyoke College.
This BBA event will bring together college and university in-house attorneys, administrators, and law firm practitioners to discuss the complex legal needs of higher education institutions in a changing world. The panels will focus on crisis preparation at higher education institutions, a discussion of the new Title IX regulations and their implications for higher education, and a host of other timely topics for institutions of higher education.
Manousos is a litigator and counselor to colleges, universities, independent schools, medical institutions, businesses, non-profit organizations, and retailers. He helps clients navigate discrimination and harassment claims, Family and Medical Leave Act claims, denial of tenure claims, wage and hour disputes, and litigation involving non-competition agreements. He also works with colleges, universities, and independent schools in handling sensitive and complex litigation involving students, including cases involving sexual misconduct, other behavioral issues, and academic matters. A seasoned trial attorney, Manousos has tried more than 15 cases to verdict in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies.
