Kugell is Chair of Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Management Committee. Since 1992, she has represented employers in the Massachusetts Courts, United States Federal District Courts including Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio and Rhode Island, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First and Eleventh Circuits, in employment litigation matters. Kugell has also represented employers at State and Federal agencies including among others, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (“MCAD”), the Rhode Island Human Rights Commission, the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission, the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission. She also represents employers at arbitration hearings and negotiates collective bargaining agreements.

Each year, MCLE recognizes with its Scholar-Mentor Awards four outstanding individuals who have “raised the bar” through their career-long contributions to continuing legal education and exceptional service to the legal profession by volunteering their time and expertise to MCLE programs and publications. These awards are presented throughout the year at annual conferences or other programs in the practice areas relevant and meaningful to the recipients.
