Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Daniel Field to Serve as Speaker for Massachusetts Staffing Association’s Legal and Compliance Webinar Series
Morgan, Brown & Joy Partner Daniel Field will present three webinars as part of the Massachusetts Staffing Association’s 2019 Legal and Compliance Webinar Series. Field will speak on the following dates and topics:
- On June 12, Field will provide an update on the Paid Family Medical Leave Act, discuss employee rights and obligations and explore the interpretive guidance detailed in new state regulations.
- On September 11, Field will present, “Your Liability for Your Clients’ Sins,” which will discuss strategies for appropriate oversight of client labor practices, including monitoring clients’ legal compliance.
- On December 12, Field will discuss employee leave rights in Massachusetts and accommodations that must be made under several leave laws, including the new landmark Paid Family Medical Leave Law (PFML). The presentation will also address how different leave laws interact and how to avoid numerous potential legal mistakes.
Field represents employers in a variety of labor and employment matters with a special focus on wage and hour compliance and litigation defense in employment disputes. He frequently defends companies facing wage and hour class/collective action lawsuits and government audits, and represents businesses in litigation involving claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, trade secret violations, torts and breach of contract. Field has contributed and co-authored several articles, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Labor and Employment Section Council and the American Bar Association Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee.
