Maura D. McLaughlin to Present to Operation A.B.L.E. Employer Advisory Committee on Legal Updates and Best Practices (Boston, MA)

On July 27, 2016, Maura D. McLaughlin will be presenting to the Employer Advisory Committee (“EAC”) of Operation A.B.L.E. of Greater Boston, Inc. on “Employment Law Updates and Best Practices: What to Keep in Mind at Hiring Time.”  The program will provide a review of best practices and an overview of legal developments affecting employee hiring and on-boarding, including what may and may not be asked in interviews and applications (for Massachusetts and neighboring states), new requirements for employee confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, recently-passed and pending legislation and the Department of Labor’s recent overtime regulations. 

Since 1982, Operation A.B.L.E. of Greater Boston, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, has provided employment and training opportunities to job seekers 45 and older from economically, racially and occupationally diverse backgrounds who are seeking to re-enter the workforce.  Operation A.B.L.E.’s EAC is comprised of Human Resources professionals from many of the leading companies in the Greater Boston and surrounding area.  More information about Operation A.B.L.E. and its EAC may be found here.
