Hot Topics in Employment Discrimination Law (Boston, MA)

On February 24, 2009, Amy Carlin will be chairing and presenting at a seminar entitled “Hot Topics in Employment Discrimination Law.”  The seminar is sponsored by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. 

The seminar panel will be discussing the topics that have generated “buzz” among practitioners this past year, including the following:

  • How the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 will be interpreted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the courts
  • What employers need to know about the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act of 2008
  • How accommodating religious beliefs and practices of employees under 151B may differ from the accommodations required under Title VII
  • Who can be held liable for harassment under 151B
The presenters include both management-side and employee-side attorneys as well as attorneys from the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
