Morgan, Brown & Joy Elevates Two Associates to Partner
Boston labor and employment law firm Morgan, Brown & Joy announces that it has elevated associates Damien M. DiGiovanni and Andrea Evans Zoia to partner.
DiGiovanni represents both public and private sector clients in a variety of labor and employment matters. His labor law practice includes representing employers in contract negotiations, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations and state and federal courts. In his employment law practice, DiGiovanni defends employers in a wide range of workplace claims, including employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants violations and wage and hour class action lawsuits, including successfully arguing Casseus, et al. v. Eastern Bus Co. Inc., et al., before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. DiGiovanni has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the field of employment and labor law by New England Super Lawyers.
Zoia represents clients in a variety of labor and employment matters. Her litigation experience includes defending employers in a wide range of workplace claims including employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and wage and hour class actions. In addition to appearing in federal and state courts, Zoia has appeared before government agencies including the EEOC, MCAD, Department of Labor, and state anti-discrimination agencies across the country. She also counsels clients on wage and hour issues, workplace investigations, employment policies and handbooks, reductions in force, and employee leave issues. She regularly conducts trainings on unlawful harassment and other employment matters and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination Certified Harassment Train-the-Trainer Program. Zoia is a chapter co-author for the Wage and Hour Laws, A State-By-State Survey (2016 and 2017 Supp), and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the field of employment and labor law by New England Super Lawyers.
