Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Jaclyn L. Kawka to Speak on the FFCRA on MCLE’s Webcast Series

Morgan, Brown & Joy Attorney Jaclyn L. Kawka will serve as a speaker for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) Webcast series, “‘1st Look’ at FFCRA & the CARES Act: Making Sense of Federal Relief for Businesses & Nonprofits,” on April 8, 2020. Kawka will join a panel discussion covering the possibilities and limits of relief under this new legislation. She will speak on the following:

  • The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA);
  • Expanded rights to emergency family and medical leave;
  • Emergency paid sick leave benefits;
  • Payroll tax credits related to employee leave;
  • Employer exemptions to these new benefits.
